Fatima Scipio

Fatima Scipio was a teacher in the NYC Public School system and also worked training social workers to empower children and families in the child welfare system. She is CEO of Young Enterprising Sisters (Y.E.S.) an entrepreneurial program for girls that educates, empowers and energizes the next generation of business owners/entrepreneurs. Fatima is an advisory board member with the Yvonne McCalla Foundation, an organization that educates young women about early breast cancer detection and annually offers scholarships to minority women interested in nursing.

She’s been featured in Essence, RedBook, Vista, on News12 New Jersey, Positively Black on NBC, Young Mogul Life Magazine, among others and is a contributor blogger on the Huffington post.

Fatima has a Bachelor of Science in sociology from Virginia State University and her Master of Science in urban affairs from Hunter College. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, she is native New Yorker, lives in New Jersey and is a wife and the proud mother of one son.
