Annabel Campbell is the author of the epic fantasy trilogy The Shattered Lands. The first book in the series, The Outcast Mage, was shortlisted for the 2025 British Fantasy Awards for best fantasy novel and best newcomer. Annabel lives in Scotland in a tiny village with her husband, son, and sinister cat overlord. She has a PhD in cardiovascular science, and when not making things up for a living, works as a medical writer. Her other joys include board games, red wine, and teaching her son to be a dragon.
