I am an agent at the Bent Agency as well as the Administrative Director, in charge of agency finances.
I grew up in Queens, New York and studied at the City University of New York, Queens College where I received a degree in Media Studies. Prior to joining the Bent Agency in 2012, I worked at both Serendipity Literary Agency and the Carol Mann Agency.
I’m currently building a varied list of both adult fiction and nonfiction titles. I’m drawn to stories that both illuminate and entertain, that show me the world from a different point of view while keeping me on the edge of my seat. I have a penchant for narratives that convey emotional truths about self, identity, and intimate relationships with compassion and nuance.
On the fiction side, I’m especially looking for book club fiction, gripping historical fiction, suspense novels and smart women’s fiction. I gravitate towards strong and honest female voices as well as authors that draw from different cultures and worldviews. Some of my favorite non-client authors include Tana French, Emily St. John Mandel, Maggie Shipstead, Meg Wolitzer and Lisa See.
For nonfiction, I’m looking for accessible narrative nonfiction projects as well as select memoirs. I enjoy true crime, history, pop culture, journalism, and anything that deals with themes of social justice and human rights.
